There was a recent discussion on the linux-kernel mailing list
concerning this issue. See Miles Lane's originating email at

and follow the thread. It will likely be fixed soon, courtesy
someone who knows someone in AMD.

I agree that blacklisting is undesirable, but it is the only case
that makes sense (given constraints of broken hardware, init
time decision making, hot-plugable oopses and limited developer
time).

There is a patch in the thread that may help you with particular
testing.
