I have an Acer CDRW 4406EU. On the case it says 4406EU-002, Made in Dec
2000.
It get detected as and hotplug loads the drivers.
lsmod shows: sq, sr_mod, cdrom, usb-storage, and scsi_mod loaded.
cdrecord thinks it's a CD-ROM and says no CD-Recorder.
This is a 2.4.3-ac2 kernel on an AMD-750 based system.
I have the black list disabled for the AMD-756 controller.
using hotplug-2001_02_14-4 built locally from the srpm.

The kernel shows this from the sr_nodule:
sr0: scsi3_mmc drive 6x/6x writer cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray
Any idea why this is seen as CDROM not CD-R or CD-R/W ?
Ideas to fix it?
-Thomas
