First I formatted the disk with ext2. Problem gone, as expected. Then I reformatted with FAT32 again. Still, writing was as quick as reading. Well, I thought, the disk is empty. So during the night I copied 15 gigs worth of files onto it. Writing is still fast. I'm guessing a mildly corrupted filesystem was the culprit. /Björn _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
