Problem was:
kernel 2.4.4 + amd viper usb controller didn´t work with my webcam.
i have tested my Webcams with another Machine - and still the same
problem:

i am going to test the webcam with linux 2.4.3 with the other controller
- cause there i had no problems with 2.4.3 on the amd viper usb
controller (except the oopses ;)) )
