I've figured out the data corruption problem.  After studying the chip
documentation, it looks like the best the thing can do is an 8.5%
error at 115200 baud.  In fact, it doesn't look like 115200 is even
supported by the chip, unless there is an external oscillator that I
can't find.  Bummer.
