Not everyone's reported problems with those OPTi chips, but
I thought it would be worth passing the warning along. Maybe
you can still return that one, and at least conserve the quantity
of odd hardware in your immediate vicinity ... :)

I've had good luck with OHCI based on CMD and NEC chips
(including the EHCI/OHCI USB 2.0 cards from various vendors),
also some older ALI ones (on motherboard).
