Have you tried the -ac kernel tree with this device? There are some USB options that should help out in detecting slow devices. But if this is the Ericsson device that does not have a Bluetooth USB descriptor, no it is not supported by Linux. Please go ask Ericsson why they are shipping a USB Bluetooth device without a proper USB Bluetooth Class code in the descriptor. You can verify this by looking at the output of /proc/bus/usb/devices with the device plugged in.
