Hi, I've experienced hangs with the usb-storage module in kernel 2.4.15pre1 and hernel 2.4.14pre3, while the same stuff worked flawlessly in kernel 2.4.6pre3 and before (it already worked with the 2.2 kernels).
The system boots up fine, the USB Microsoft IntelliMouse
is working fine. When I turn on my Ricoh 5300 digital camera
the system freezes. It is absolutely dead, no life in the
CapsLock and NumLock keys. Three-finger-salute doesn't help.
I'm attaching a log of the bootup messages and the subsequent
messages that are generated when I turn my camera on.
The messages are absolutely _not_ edited by me.
I also enclose the output of:

This output is of course generated with the camera turned off.
Maybe this is a known problem, caused by the Linus-tree not yet
(fully) synched with Alan's tree (or the development tree,
for that matter). But I thought that it I should report it
anyway. If I can help testing patches, I'll be a pleasure.
The only USB-capable devices I have are the mouse and the camera.
