You may be interested to know that Interactive Media Co. (www.kanguru.com), the makers of the Kanguru portable hard drives, now supports Linux. I have two of their very useful gadgets, I bought the most recent last August, with a PCMCIA cable and a USB cable. The USB cable did not work. I called them and they told me that indeed that unit could not work with Linux. For a small fee they are sending me a new, different cable and upgraded some firmware in the unit itself. In my call, I told them of the inmportance of supporting Linux and now they do.
