o Sorry, your first email confused me a little. I've just tried:
# rmmod usb-uhci
o All USB lights (hub and devices) go off. I plugged hub into
motherboard, active cable into hub, Philips webcam into active
cable. No other devices connected to motherboard or hub.
# modprobe usb-uhci
