Hello,
I recently bought a Sony DSC-F707. Seeing that it's predicessor, the
505, was supported, I thought I'd give it a shot and try connecting the
707 to my system. 2.4.10 did not recognize the camera and said:
usb.c: USB device 6 (vend/prod 0x54c/0x10) is not claimed by any
active driver.
I'm guessing that an entry needs to be put in unusual_devs.h for this
camera, but I cannot find a description of the fields. I'm guessing
that the first two fields would be 0x054c and 0x1000, but what about the
next two? After these are manufacturer and product, but then what?
My /var/log/messages output is below.
FWIW, I'm using 2.4.10 and waiting for the EXT3 patch for 2.4.11 before
I try that. I'm using hotplug-core and hotplug-utils from 2001-09-19.
Thanks,
pete
