Ok, I've got a Sony VAIO R505 laptop. I've got both Linux and Windows 2K on it (my token minority).
One day, USB stopped working under Linux. It *was* working great, but one day, I had left plugged in a Creative VOIPBlaster with a phone attached that needed batteries (that didn't have batteries). After that, for some reason, USB no longer works under Linux. It *does* work fine under Win2k! This laptop also has a docking station, that adds another 2 ports - 1 works fine under Linux, the other doesn't, for a total of 3 bad, 1 good.
