Hello, After a bus reset by the device (self powered Linux driven device) I do not get a probe neither a "good link".
When I connect this device to a Win98 system, I get a complete exchange of descriptors and so on after the device creates a bus reset without disconnecting the cable. Would be great if this feature was implemented. What can I do? I am still using Kernel 2.4.17. (Background: I need a possibility to tell the host a high level identification of the device after the connection is established. Since I am not allowed to use IOCTLs for this, I transmit this information with the device descriptor serial number. To tell the host that this id has changed I do a bus reset, hoping that the host will "resynchronize" on that.) Thank You again for all replies.
