And surely the customer wasn't willing to give you the
hardware to play with for a while, yes?  :)

Well, at least we know one more BIOS level tweak to try
here then.  And we know that IRQ management remains
an ongoing hassle ... I wish I didn't have the feeling that
we're likely to start seeing even more BIOS headaches
over the next few years as DRM-fascists starts to get
serious about "their rights" to control our hardware.
