I have absolutely no problem with people make changes to my code, to keep 
it compatible with the changes in the Linux tree. Clearly these changes 
were needed for subsystems of which I have little or no knowledge, so if 
the apropriate maintainer does that for me, excellent and kudos to them for 
all the time that takes. Still, I wouldn't mind a CC: or other notification.

Of course, I would object of other people would make fundamental changes to 
the driver without asking me. I am the maintainer of PWC, after all. But 
that's unlikely to happen.

You mean the introduction of V4L2? Well, if that happens I will *probably* 
abandon the 2.4 driver; more or less what I did with the 2.2 series. But 
the driver is complete enough. But that's my call :-)
