hello, i'm trying to get my tascam us-428 usb audio/midi controller (http://www.tascam.com/products/us428/index.php). there 2 device id's, because there must be download a firmware(?) first: ID 1604:8000 without firmware ID 1604:8001 with firmware with firmware means i have to initialize the us-428 by booting windows and reboot to linux. the full output of lsusb is located here: http://hal9000.drehmoment.org/tascam/
lsusb output without firmware looks good, but with firmware there errors and in the syslog are following entries: 8<---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mar 24 16:22:06 konstruktor kernel: usb.c: kusbd: /sbin/hotplug add 2 Mar 24 16:22:06 konstruktor kernel: usb.c: kusbd policy returned 0xfffffffe Mar 24 16:22:06 konstruktor kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 100, change 0, 12 Mb/s Mar 24 16:22:06 konstruktor kernel: hub.c: port 2, portstatus 103, change 0, 12 Mb/s Mar 24 16:22:09 konstruktor kernel: usb-uhci.c: uhci_submit_urb: pipesize for pipe 80000280 is zero Mar 24 16:22:09 konstruktor kernel: usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev 2 rqt 128 rq 6 len 256 ret -90 Mar 24 16:22:09 konstruktor kernel: usb-uhci.c: uhci_submit_urb: pipesize for pipe 80000280 is zero Mar 24 16:22:09 konstruktor kernel: usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev 2 rqt 128 rq 6 len 9 ret -90 Mar 24 16:22:09 konstruktor kernel: usb-uhci.c: uhci_submit_urb: pipesize for pipe 80000280 is zero Mar 24 16:22:09 konstruktor kernel: usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev 2 rqt 128 rq 6 len 256 ret -90 8<------------------------------------------------------------------------ what those errors stand for? i've tried with kernel 2.4.18, 2.5.7, usb-uhci, uhci, with and without bandwith allocation. audio module does not working. any hints?
