Hi all, Ok, I took the latest cvs version of the usb-storage code, and merged it together with the latest 2.5.15 version (yes bk rocks, it wasn't hard at all.) I then hand fixed up the places where the usb-storage code would not compile properly and added some unusual-devs.h entries that were in the -dj tree, but not in the cvs tree (and ignored the US_FL_SL_IDE_BUG entries, as I'll let Matt rule on that one :)
All of this seems to work just fine for my one usb-storage device (a USB 2.0 ION enclosure), so I pushed these changes up in the main usb 2.5 tree at bkbits.net. Here are the patches for those of you who want to check this out to make sure I didn't mess anything up (Andries, could you please try this to see if the sddr09 code still works properly?) the patch against a clean 2.5.15 tree is at: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/usb/2.5/usb-storage-2.5.15.patch I'd like to send this to Linus soon, so any comments are greatly appreciated. Matt, here's a patch against your cvs tree if you want to bring it back into sync. Please note some of the changes I had to make to get the code to properly compile (see the scsiglue.c and transport.c changes specifically.) Also, if you don't like any of the new entries in unusual_devs.h, please let me know: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/usb/2.5/usb-storage-2.5.15-vs-cvs.patch Even with these changes I still need to keep the following .config entries turned off, due to these drivers being unable to compile properly: CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_DATAFAB CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_HP8200e CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_JUMPSHOT thanks, greg k-h _______________________________________________________________ Have big pipes?
