If you don't have the driver for the modem, *and* if the modem requires a special driver, then you can't reverse-engineer it this way. The modem will be passive; all you can get is the enumeration and descriptors. You need to get a Windows box, install the USB sniffer and all the standard modem software (including the driver), and then look at what the real driver sends, and what the device sends back. > I am interested in writing some software to communicate with the > modem...
