Hi,

I have a Momobay CX1 ieee1394/USB external HDD. It works fine on
ieee1394 but when I try to use it on USB it does not register properly.
 Using RH7.2/7.3 Kernal 2.4.18

/proc/scsi/usb-storage-0/0

This thing is supposed to be on /dev/sda but when as root I go "fdisk
-l" it only shows the IDE. However as a user it complains quite rightly
of not being able to open /dev/sda and /dev/hda

Funny thing though looking at a usb reference the Vendor ID looks
incorrect or is clashing?

05e3 Genesys Logic, Inc.
    000a Keyboard with PS/2 Port
000b Karna Razor BoomSlang 2000 Mouse
0120 Pacific Image Electronics PrimeFilm 1800u slide/negative scanner
    0300 GLUSB98PT Parallel Port
    0502 GL620USB GeneLink USB-USB Bridge
0700 SIIG US2256 CompactFlash Card Reader

This compares with:
P: Vendor=05e3 ProdID=0700 Rev= 1.13
S: Manufacturer=DViCO Inc.
S: Product=MOMOBAY CX-1

Is this a problem?

cat /proc/scsi/scsi shows:
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: SIIG Model: CompactFlash Car Rev: 0113
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Grahame Jordan
