Yes, it works perfectly well for file storage. Maybe my original e-mail 
was a bit unclear about this: the DRM only applies to individual MP3 
files, not the whole device. If you copy an ordinary MP3 file to the 
player, it won't play it, only DRM-protected MP3s play. Alas.
