Bandwidth reservation is useless if there is enough bandwith for all... So bugs for this item will be very rare, yes... I see that you wanted to make the USB API as simple as possible for driver programmers. This is a good thing. In 2.4.x, all endpoints with reservation (INT and ISO) have only constant sizes. For INT OUT endpoints, this was not acceptable because there are devices with uses variable data block length. Will the 2.6.x API be better for device driver writers? Most of the problem solvers are "not merged in", as you say.
