Hi,
I've run into a couple of minor problems with a
SanDisk ImageMate CF-SM (SDDR-75).
1.----
I do the following:
modprobe sd_mod
modprobe usb-storage
plug-in card reader
plug-in CF card
mount -t msdos /dev/sda1 /mnt/disk/
so far so good.
umount /mnt/disk
remove card
re-insert card
mount -t msdos /dev/sda1 /mnt/disk/
at this point I get:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
or too many mounted file systems
When I try the mount a second time, it works.
2.----
If I disconnect/reconnect the cardreader instead of remove/re-insert
card I get this error when mounting:
Device 08:01 not ready.
I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 0
FAT: unable to read boot sector
At that point I usually unload/reload sd_mod and it works again (more or less).
It does report this though (2.4.18):
Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
sda : READ CAPACITY failed.
sda : status = 1, message = 00, host = 0, driver = 08

sda: I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0
I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0
unable to read partition table
I tried 1&2 on both a Redhat 2.4.9 kernel, as well as
a 2.4.18 based arm kernel.
Any ideas what's going on?
Cheers,
Frank.
