I would like to expand the blacklist in the hid-core.c function. Is this the right place to send the changes?????
Details ------------ The ADU devices from Ontrak Control Systems do not support bulk end-points and this prevents the existing HID routines from talking to them. To allow a custom driver to work the HID core must ignore the device. (similar to Wacom devices) I have tested these changes under 2.4.20 and 2.5.54 using my own ADU driver (to be released under GPL when it is ready). I need the following #defines added in hid-core.c after the existing blacklist vendor definitions. #define USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK 0x0a07 #define USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100 0x0064 And the following entries need to be added to the hid_blacklist. { USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK, USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100, HID_QUIRK_IGNORE }, { USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK, USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100 + 100, HID_QUIRK_IGNORE }, { USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK, USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100 + 200, HID_QUIRK_IGNORE }, { USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK, USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100 + 300, HID_QUIRK_IGNORE }, { USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK, USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100 + 400, HID_QUIRK_IGNORE }, { USB_VENDOR_ID_ONTRAK, USB_DEVICE_ID_ONTRAK_ADU100 + 500, HID_QUIRK_IGNORE }, I talked to an engineer at Ontrak and these entries should be adequate for the near future. Thanks, John Homppi P.S.
