I'm working on getting the USB subsystem running
directly inside of UML. By doing this you can use
gdb/ddd on all of the USB driver code. You can also
run 2.5.xxx on a 2.4 host system. My UML is using
spare USB hardware in the host.

When I exit UML I need to be sure that the USB
hardware is getting reset.  I can't have active DMA
happening after the buffers are freed.

Looking at the code for the USB core driver in 2.5.59
and I can't seem to figure out how it gets shut down
when the system is halted/rebooted. UML shuts down via
the standard sys_reboot() call. Shouldn't the USB core
support a shutdown method or reboot notifier?
