I'm working on getting the USB subsystem running directly inside of UML. By doing this you can use gdb/ddd on all of the USB driver code. You can also run 2.5.xxx on a 2.4 host system. My UML is using spare USB hardware in the host.
When I exit UML I need to be sure that the USB hardware is getting reset. I can't have active DMA happening after the buffers are freed. Looking at the code for the USB core driver in 2.5.59 and I can't seem to figure out how it gets shut down when the system is halted/rebooted. UML shuts down via the standard sys_reboot() call. Shouldn't the USB core support a shutdown method or reboot notifier? ===== Jon Smirl [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful.
