    Well, I did... I'm also using the ehci24-0201 patch with a VT8235
and always while accessing for over a minute to a mass storage device
I can no longer access it and when it doesn't crash the system I have
to hard-reset the system.
OK, so evidently on 2.4 things aren't yet improved enough.

FWIW on 2.5 that same patch passed a 10+ hour usb-storage stress
test I ran, on VT8235 ... I recall some VT6202 problem, though it
was more stable than it had been before.

As they say, your mileage may vary.  Evidently the 2.5 kernel
jumps the driver into a (faster) mode where these problems don't
happen very often.


This thing is driving me nuts :(
