Hi,

I have a Canon mvx2i dv video with camera capabilities. The link for pictures
loading is an USB link, reported to work with GNU/Linux using the USB Mass
Storage driver.

http://www.teaser.fr/~hfiguiere/linux/digicam.html :
Canon MVX2i 0x04a9/0x3067
SD/MMC USB Mass Storage
DV Cam with still image capabilities

When I connect this camera, it is not correctly recognized :
These are the messages reported by the kernel.
Feb 17 23:06:04 laptop kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:02.0-2, assigned address 3
Feb 17 23:06:04 laptop kernel: usbserial.c: none matched
Feb 17 23:06:04 laptop kernel: usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x4a9/0x306b) is
not claimed by any active driver.

I saw that the Prod id is not the same ; would this be the issue ?
If so, how to correct it ?

My kernel is 2.4.19 ; I got same results with 2.4.20 and 2.4.21-pre4.
My distribution is Debian Testing/Unstable.
The kernel module usb-storage is loaded without error.

Thanks for your time and for your help.

Thierry.
