Hi, I intend to handshake with the device connected to USB port. At present i have connected MouseMan Wheel Logitech at the USB port of my PC. What will be the name of the device file created ????
I have Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98 (gcc version 2.96 20000731) Linux Kernel 2.4.7-10. The file /etc/sysconfig/mouse shows the following MOUSETYPE="ps/2" XMOUSETYPE="IMPS/2" FULLNAME="Generic 3 Button Mouse (USB)" XEMU3=yes DEVICE=/dev/mouse I opened the file /dev/mouse and created the File descriptor. But when i use HIDIOCGVERSION, HIDIOCGDEVINFO, HIDIOCGNAME() IOCTLs with that file descriptor i get the ERROR output as INAPPROPRIATE IOCTL FOR DEVICE. Can anybody provide me solution for the problem ??. Awaiting your valuable reply. thanks in advance, sathish. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
