[SIGH] That wasn't supposed to go out with the data inline, once I
realized how large it was. Hit ^C^C rather than ^X^X, though.
Anyway, most of the trace was after removing the modem from the hub to
get it working again. But the death of pppd was where the problem
started.
2.5.64 and earlier do not show that bug (as opposed to the loss of
sync between wvdial and the modem, or the steady incrementing of the
ttyacm minor everytime the modem is hotplugged; those have been there
for some time now).
I've got another pull to try today; perhaps the bug is already fixed.
But in case it isn't, and in case the trace helps...
The .config is available is necessary. non-smp pIII with preempt,
uhci-hcd and cdc-acm as modules.
