I think changing usbfs to swap those u16 values in
device descriptors it returns from reading the
/proc/bus/usb/BBB/DDD files would fix lsusb ...

Should the other byteswaps being done in usbcore
continue to be done, though?   That'd be rather
disruptive (drivers rely on them), but it's the
root cause of the problem...
