I'll try a bit more and post the firmware tomorrow regardless!
Great!
Ok, here we go. Attached the EZ-USB firmware release providing own descriptors, EP0 standard requests and bulk sink/source support. Ready for
AN213x and FX - but not (yet) FX2. Successfully tested with ehci-hcd
and usbtest - as shown in the other mail it passes all current tests.

I browsed the code, it looks like a nice job! So I put it into the 'linux-hotplug/firmware/ezusb' CVS tree on SourceForge, with package name 'testing'. I'll make some of the relevant web pages mention it, and the next hotplug firmware source tarball should include this.
I'd like you to have CVS access so you can maintain this more directly. If you agree, please send me your sf.net user id and I'll add you.
And in the "When Someone Has Time" department: the source/sink mode is protocol-compatible with Gadget Zero in "all zeroes" mode. But while both drivers support other patterns, only "all zeroes" is supported by both.
Then it'd be nice to see them act more the same in those more advanced test modes, as well as maybe agreeing on some vendor-specific commands to kick them in -- and enable some control-OUT tests.
Of course, I'm absolutely certain using those more advanced tests will shake out problems in the Linux-USB stack, even if we don't use them as part of regular regression testing ... ;)
