Confirmed. Maybe some information on how things went here: I had complete hangs with USB-Storage, until 2.4.22-pre7 - but I do not think this is kernelversion related. Turning off ALL debug and "enable extra checks in new queuing code" finally seemed to help. Maybe this gives a clue as to where the problem is.
