This sounds suspicious.

It could be broken, I really don't know. I no longer have it on my laptop,
and a bunch of other things are broken right now, otherwise I'd test it.

Actually, I meant 'which UHCI driver' and I guess I can't read, because
you mentioned it (usb-uhci). Can you try the alternate UHCI driver?
(uhci.o) It's included with RH9.0's 2.4.20 kernels, and I think it might
be in the older ones as well (possibly under a different name).
