I don't understand.  Those messages seem almost bearable because most of 
them are missing!  Where did they go?  There's important information not 
present in the log.

I would guess that some other device resets _were_ getting tried but the 
output has been removed from the log.  Certainly the driver normally would 
try to reset, given the errors that we do see.
