Hello,
I am experiencing a Oops:0002 with kernel 2.4.22 and also 2.4.23-test3.
This is jsut to inform you that there is something going wrong. Please let me know if this is a known oops because I'm not subscribed to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
It's news to me, I was able to hook a Zaurus (OZ 3.2) up with 2.4.23-pre1 and no problems -- not three seconds ago. (OK, I had to disconnect the device that was using CDC-Ether, since CDCEther doesn't blacklist Zaurus.)
The ooops causes to lock the machine even magic sys-key doesn't work. I will invest some time to find out more about the bug using the ksymoops tool. But that takes some time because I never did that and I have to copy all the register by hand :-((
Well, you should certainly post at least a useful subset of the information in the "how do I report a bug" FAQ. Like "how to reproduce", and (for USB) what host controller you're using.
And nowadays you should expect to include "does it reproduce on the latest 2.6.0-test kernel" information too. You may notice that "kksymoops" is a kernel build option -- use it, and save yourself some time!
FWIW the stack trace is far more useful than the registers when tracking down problems. Another win for the 2.6 kernels! :)

Looking forward to your help and assistence
