What might help would be to leave the US_PR_CB entry in place, but compile with usb-storage debugging turned on, and then try using the -259 drive (the one which doesn't work with CB). The debugging log might tell us something useful. This looks like it's the manufacturer's fault. If they changed the product enough so that it has different endpoints, they should have changed the serial number as well.
