I'm trying to connect a scanner .... It appears the device fails to
enumerate due to linux only reading 8 bytes during the initial GetDescriptor frame.
Seems like your scanner firmware has a bug. It shouldn't omit NAKing the status stage of that descriptor fetch, "just because the address has already been set".
