Help, i just "upgraded" to 2.6.0-test11 from 2.4.23 and my
ELSA modem that uses the acm driver doesn't work anymore.
I've read thru the lists but this doesn't seem to have been
covered.
Although the kernel config for the acm usb modem explicitly
says
If your modem only reports "Cls=ff(vend.)" in the descriptors in
/proc/bus/usb/devices, then your modem will not work with this
driver.
which mine does (see below), i can't understand why this works
in 2.4 and not 2.6 kernels ? Is there any workaround i can use
to get this modem working with 2.6 or else i'm permanently stuck
with 2.4 series kernel ;-(
Oh bootup i get:
drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registered new driver cdc_acm
drivers/usb/class/cdc-acm.c: v0.21:USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems
and ISDN adapters
