USB mouse occasionally hangs in 2.4.22 using usb-uhci module with these error: Nov 26 13:15:38 asustwo kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 996 Nov 26 13:15:43 asustwo kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 1916 ... on and on. Also the optical mouse light dims. The problem doesn't occur until quite a while after boot and so far only when playing a game with lots of mouse action.
The same thing happens with the uhci module in 2.4.22 and in uhci-hcd module 2.6.0-test10, except there are no error messages. The mouse just stops and the optical mouse light dims. It's not just in X, as I use the gpm driver and when I switch to a root non-graphical console, the mouse is dead there too. It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem as playing games in WinXP PRO has not exhibited the problem so far. I can correct the problem without rebooting by going to a root console and rmmoding usb-uhci module (and any other modules necessary before it) and then modprobing it back in (same with uhci and uhci-hcd), but the problem usually reoccurs fairly soon thereafter. Please tell me what I can do to help pin down the problem. CC me as I'm not on the list.
