Hello, I'm trying to make this headset work with the latest stable kernel (2.4.23-pre5-ben0) on Debian PowerPC.
Left channel and microphone are working prefectly, but the right channel is ether not recognized or muted. I first tried the headset on Mac OS X and both channels were working, so it's not a hardware problem. I then tried to see if the right channel was handled by another mixer (seemed strange, but possible). When I open the mixer (/dev/mixer1) in AuMix, I can set left/microphone volumes correctly. When I try to open the second mixer registered by the usbaudio driver, AuMix fails with the following error: "aumix: SOUND_MIXER_READ_RECSRC" I searched the user/devel lists for advices, with little success. It seems that some people made the output work but not the microphone. I've found no followup on this topic on the lists. Could someone help me figure out if this is the driver wrongly registering an output channel as a second mic? Or is there something else not properly recognized or handled by the driver? Thanks, Jrme Attached: dmesg and lsusb logs ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? -- Avec Yahoo! soyez au coeur de la rcolte de dons pour le Tlthon. http://fr.promotions.yahoo.com/caritatif/
