| Does anyone know how to setup root partition on usb-storage device.
|
| There is a patch mentioned on linux-usb.sourceforge.net:
|
| but it seems to work only on 2.4.14-17, and than the patches are
| rejected because root device inits went from super.c to do_mounts.c.

| In meantime some api changed a bit, so direct transformation of that

| seems not to work.
|
| Is anyone working on it? On 2.4.14 there was enough to delay the kernel
| a bit before mounting root, but not on the 2.6:(

I updated the Lammerts patch to 2.4.22 and someone tested it and
verified that it works (for them :).

I haven't looked at applying it to 2.6.0-test, but I can do that if
you have troubles doing it. The 2.4.x udpated patch is at

  http://www.xenotime.net/linux/usb/usbboot-2422.patch
