I think that is what I need to do. I have a samsung cell phone and USB cable. I have
found documentation showing that it is a standard AT compatible modem and when I plug
in in the acm driver loads and I get the message usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev
3 ... I have verified the phone and cable work by installing the windows driver on my
w2k machine at work. The windows driver is a simple driver, not a winmodem type
install. I have downloaded snoopy and captured the data from where I plugged the
phone in, sent the command AT and received back the OK. I can see the AT and OK in
the data stream so I know there is no special protocol or enconding. I'm guessin
there is something I need to do with the acm driver to add the samsung vendor id
and/or product, is this correct? I'm afraid I'm not much of a programmer, but have
had a couple classes in college and have done some scripting so I though I would ask,
if someone can point me in the right direction I might be able to figure it out
Thanks
