Alan, I am seeing USB hangs with in both ECHI+OCHI and just with OHCI enabled as well on an IBM w/ Intel 82801EB chipset, on a system with kernel 2.4.24 patched with Alan C.'s one liner and Oliver's patch as well.
The system is performing a sector-based image of the primary drive on the first IDE controller, to the USB disk .. ~15Gb of data in total is being transferred. The lockup occurs relatively rapidly, usually before 1GiB of data is copied over. The system is running without swap, and is in a low memory condition when the hangup occurs (about 2MiB of free RAM). I'd be happy to provide any information (logs, et. al.) you may need. I have recompiled the kernel with USB debugging on. -Martin -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAGAwugZQNxll+EIcRAi5QAJwPVaycmtXpTpfRlO+1BJaQUSbEwQCgltX6 qQ1ruCegNDc+w82h9iPT+Zc= =FTcP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
