You are correct about the reset timing out. That section of code is really badly written. The patch below should help; let us know if it works.

If I understand this correctly though, provided I haven't attached my camera when I load the modules, this timeout shouldn't cause a problem (though it could be indicitive of a more general problem). And I've tried this both ways: attach camera, load module; and load module, attach camera. It doesn't notice the camera either way. Obviously, I get the error either way though, because it is always going to do the reset.

Hmmm. I just tried to sync my palm which isn't getting picked up by the visor driver either (but I did this several times in 260-t11). Now I'm worried my hardware is flaking. Later today I'll boot into my old 2.4 kernel and try it there as a sanity check.
