I get a lot of "drivers/usb/net/pegasus.c: intr status -84" messages during file transfers over the network.

During a 2Mb file transfer I can get as much as 12 messages, or as little as 2 (tested during 10 consecutive runs).

This happened in kernels 2.4.x, but it is still happening in 2.6.3-rc1.

From include/asm-generic/errno.h:

#define EILSEQ 84 /* Illegal byte sequence */

I'm using a D-Link DU-H3ETX Hub / network adapter combo:

T:  Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#=  8 Spd=12  MxCh= 4

E:  Ad=83(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS=   8 Ivl=128ms

I've seen this happening in other adapters with the pegasus driver...

I've also ran some tests and it seems that, not only the file transfer isn't affected by the warning, the performance doesn't seems to be noticeably affected either.

Is this warning a symptom of something wrong on a lower level, or can we just ignore this warning and patch it away?
