(It'll be simplest if you remove any other > HCDs -- UHCI, OHCI -- first.) I haven't tried building my kernel on this computer. I tried plugging my camera into the onboard USB1.1 ports and there nothing is wrong. It then must be something with my USB2.0 card and Linux! I just tried (without my camera plugged in) "rmmod ehci-hcd" and then "modprobe ehci-hcd" and then checking dmesg: ehci_hcd 00:0f.2: remove state 3 usb.c: USB disconnect on device 00:0f.2-0 address 1 usb.c: USB bus 5 deregistered PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:0f.2 PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 00:0b.0 ehci_hcd 00:0f.2: VIA Technologies, Inc. The USB2.0 card only has 2 ports and not 4! I just tried removing and inserting the usb-ohci module (which my 2 onboard USB1.1 ports uses) and here dmesg says that 3 ports were detected! Is there some reasonable explanation for this? Anders ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
