I am not happy to shower at your parade but I see a long debugging session
ahead of you, if you are serious about this issue, of course.

First of all, you have to focus on a particular failure scenario instead
of trying this and that; then, convert lockup into oops with NMI watchdog;
Work with David Brownlee to identify the cause and fix. This is the only
way I know.
