With kernel version 2.6.3 reading from a compact flash card hangs.

Computer is a Toshiba Satellite Pro 445CDX. Compact flash reader is a
"PNY USB Reader/Writer, Part No: FPTS-C" which has worked just fine
under kernel 2.4.23 and windows.

I was trying out kernel 2.6.3, when copying files from my PNY compact
flash card reader the file copy operation stopped. I observered the
cp processes in a "D" uninteruptible sleep state and I could not
interrupt the process. Before the lock-up I had been able to get a
directory listing of the entire flash card.

When I tried to shut down to return to kernel 2.4.23, the computer
entirely locked up and I eventually had to use the reset button to get
going again. After booting with kernel 2.4.23, all my drive
partations needed to be fscked, and various files were damaged.

Here's the contents of /proc/bus/usb/devices on 2.4.23. I'll get more
info from the 2.6.3 kernel after making sure I've got all my data
backed up. To save list bandwidth, syslog files can be found at
