I cannot resist to observe that Georg Archer and I did this in usb-uhci long ago. Remind me why we went with uhci-hcd based on uhci again. Wasn't it supposed to have "simpler code" than usb-uhci? It's water under the bridge now, but perhaps there's a lesson in it somewhere.
