For tracking down the particular error in your oops message from before,
it will help to have a disassembled listing of the urb_unlink subroutine
on your laptop. You can get such a listing by running
gdb drivers/usb/core/hcd.o
and then typing
disassemble urb_unlink
at the prompt.
