If usb-uhci is not going to be 2.6, I guess the Saitek joy stick will not be supported in 2.6.

IHMO differences like this are what is causing Linux to have problems cracking the desktop

usb-uhci has been removed in 2.6.

Nope.  One of them worked for some people's devices and the other one
worked with some other people's devices.  Now you know which one works
for you.
